Welcome to Son Marfil
in the sun-drenched southeast of Mallorca

Son Marfil is very well connected and is located on the outskirts of the typical Mallorcan village of Es Llombards (Santanyi), only 35 minutes from Palma airport.

Son Marfil is the result of several years ofprojectwhich was completed in early 2022.The main house was extensively renovated and the entire ensemble (guest house, pool, patio, garden, grounds, garage) was completely redeveloped. Since then, Son Marfil has continued to develop in all areas.

From Son Marfil it is only a few minutes to the most beautiful calas, to many restaurants, leisure and shopping opportunities. The region is famous for its many beautiful bays, the natural beach Es Trenc and the many charming villages with their fishing and yacht harbors.

This authentic region is particularly appreciated by people who are looking for relaxation away from mass tourism.

Wetter

The weather

Our recommendation: December, January, February.

For the “most beautiful island in the world” (Inselradio), the island with 300 days of sunshine, or the “17. There are countless weather statistics and forecasts online. Mallorca has a subtropical Mediterranean climate with dry, very warm summers and short, mild winters. However, the weather pattern can vary greatly from region to region. A large part of the precipitation coming from the northwest remains on the mountains of the Serra de Tramuntana and falls there. The eastern areas of the island remain significantly drier. It is therefore advisable to choose the weather statistics and forecasts for the specific region for your stay or excursion.

Fortunately, the forecasts from the many weather apps in particular have -felt- become more reliable in recent years. All in all, a very extensive data material that the interested visitor or resident has at their disposal. See among others Mallorca expert or Meteo Blue

Our longer stays in Mallorca and our own experiences since 2018 confirm what locals have been saying for a long time: In addition to the usual travel months, December, January and February are real months of enjoyment. The weather invites you to enjoy activities in nature with lots of hours of sunshine and pleasant temperatures. (Hiking, cycling, tennis, golf, fitness, and much more.) In addition, the island is even more relaxed in these months and the prices (e.g. green fees) are more attractive.

During these months we regularly start the day with a cup of coffee or tea on the patio of Son Marfil and enjoy the sun.
